Specification:

The umbilicus of newborns is easy for bacteria to enter the body. If the umbilicus cannot be protected well, bacteria will enter it and reproduce quickly, which will make it suppurate and develop fatal ichoremia. According to the clinical observation, as the skin of the newborns is delicate, the common gauze fixed by adhesive plaster is easy to sensitive to the skin and the roughness of the gauze is apt to rub the skin. Besides, the common gauze cannot be fixed tightly, and is easy to slip off in the up-down movements of the belly caused by crying.

Product instrument:

The newly developed dressing is made of CA fiber and cotton elastic bandage. CA fiber is soft, non-toxic, insipid, bacteriostatic, absorbent and not irritative to the skin, and it can decrease bleeding and effusion. Cotton elastic bandage has suitable elasticity, which can keep the dressing on the umbilicus better.Indeed, the newborn umbilicus protection CAD anti-adhesion dressing has the advantages of safety, bacteriostat, air permeability, softness, suitable elasticity, no irritation, and no sensitivity etc.

Application: 

After the newborn is born, the nurse extends the emulsion ring in the dressing package with hemostatic forceps, slips it over the umbilicus, fixes it on the umbilicus at the place of 1 ~ 2 cm and cuts the umbilicus. When the umbilicus is cut, the local must be sterilized strictly to prevent it from infection before the dressing is covered on the umbilicus. The umbilicus should be kept clean and dry to keep it from contamination till it falls off. In general the dressing must be opened, observed and treated simply 24 hours after birth. The umbilicus root should be cleaned for one time. After cleaning, it should be dressed again with the CAD dressing.
